11/21/2011 Follow the second album recordings on our blog

Hello! The recordings of our second album have gone well. Now, when we have recorded all the drums and the basses and about two thirds of the guitars, we are having a little break due to a happy family event. We will continue recording early next year and aim to release new music next year.

08/06/2011 Terho to record a new album

Well, well... A lot has happened since the previous update. We have been rehearsing with our new drummer, Tuomas Martikainen and now the time has come to begin the recording sessions for our second album.

We will start with drums and basslines on sunday, the 7th of August, and will be recording guitars and vocals here and there during this autumn.

The band will produce this second album self, and we have hired Teemu Aalto as a mixing and recording engineer. Teemu did the mixing for our previous Kaupungit hiljenneet album, and it's cool to have him aboard from the beginning of this new project!

04/26/2011 Houston, we have a new drummer! (and the bass player carries a new name)

We are sorry to inform that our original drummer Tuomas Ratinen has decided to leave the band. We thank Tuomas for 12 rocking years!

Terho has decided to go on with a new drummer, Tuomas Martikainen.

On the bass, Artist formerly known as Tatu Kettunen is nowadays known by the name Tatu Savolainen. Same guy, different name!

We are also planning to release a new album. We have already made demos for 10 new songs and the the mission continues.

12/17/2010 Demoing new material

Jiihaa! Terho has started demoing new material. The songwriting and arranging has been smooth. We'll be making new plans for the near future after demo sessions.

Here we come again batting away all life's little obstacles!

09/09/2010 The Feather Pen keeps writing

Howdy! Our band has been very active recently. There is more new material to be arranged and rehearsed than ever before in the history of our band.

So we are heading towards our second album in a relaxed but very determined atmosphere. The new songs sound friggin' good and we had a chance to play some of them live for the first time at Henry's Pub, Kuopio on August.

03/24/2010 We are working with new material

With joy, we announce that we are currently working with new material. We have written a whole bunch of songs which will hopefully form the backbone of Terho's second album.

Lately there has been a very positive and creative atmosphere in the band and all the members have taken part in a song writing process.

We are going to continue with a smooth touch and without any pressures.

Oops! The year and the decade changed. And by the way Paluu vuoteen nolla single has also been released digitally. You can get your Terho for example from Meteli.net downloads or iTunes.

Also the rest of the Finnish web stores now seem to sell their music in an open MP3 format. Which is nice!

11/16/2009 Paluu vuoteen nolla single hits Finnish radio stations and Myspace!

Jiihaa! The 3rd single from the Kaupungit hiljenneet album is Paluu vuoteen nolla.

The single, that is delivered to the Finnish radio stations this week, includes two rockers. Song 2 is a rocking Radio edit of Roadmovie.

You can help Terho to get air play by sending song requests to the radio stations.

26.09.2009 Terho vieraana OiFM:llä, sunnuntaina 27.09.2009 Klo 20!

Terho sai kunnian olla ensimmäinen vieras mainion joensuulaisen radiokanavan OiFM:n uudessa Haloo Joensuu -ohjelmassa.

Terholaisista Lauri kävi esittelemässä Kaupungit hiljenneet -albumia sekä joitakin Terhon musiikillisista vaikuttajista. Tsek it aut, huomenna, sunnuntaina 27.9. klo 20 alkaen! Uusinnat ke 30.9. klo 10 ja pe 2.10. klo 00.

23.09.2009 Terho lämppää Anna Puuta Lutakossa!

Uuuuu jee! Terho on pestattu Anna Puun lämppäriksi Lutakkoon. Jyväskyläläisillä (ja toki myös kaikilla muillakin!) on näin ollen oivallinen tilaisuus perehtyä outokumpulaiseen pop-osaamiseen. Onko Outokumpu uusi Seattle? Tule tsekkaamaan!

21.09.2009 Myspacessa videoklippi Kassan Baarista

Kassan baarissa pidettiin viime viikonloppuna kunnon tanhut. Orkesterimme havaitsi ilokseen, että biisien sovitukset ja soitanto ovat sellaisella mallilla, että tunnelmointi onnistuu myös pienemmällä äänenvoimakkuudella ja soundia voidaan pienemmässä paikassa sopivasti keventää tehojen siitä ihmeemmin kärsimättä.

Terhon Myspaceen on lisätty videoklippi Terhon esiintymisestä. Tsekatkaahan ainutlaatuiset road house -tunnelmat. Äänenlaatu on mallia pokkarikamera, mutta olennainen välittyy!
